Hahnji Jang is a Korean-American costume designer and activist.

Currently living in Brooklyn, Hahnji attended New York University: Tisch for Costume & Scenic design.

Hahnji was born in Michigan and moved to Daejeon, South Korea as a child. There she grew up in a family with a strong emphasis in political culture and awareness. She marched in her first rally at 9 and later continued her involvement in activism as a member of Amnesty International, eventually leading campaigns focusing on human trafficking and refugee treatment. She used a variety of artistic mediums to pursue raising awareness, including but not limited to, theatre, sculpture, and performance art.

Hahnji currently works in New York as both a costume designer and assistant costume designer on projects ranging from world premier's for Pan Asian Repertory theatre, to the Public’s Mobile unit, to Broadway musicals.
